Lets get up to date here,

A series of unfortunate events occurred this week. I have been delayed in blogging due to school, mainly. I had a LOT to do this week.

On a bright note, I was privileged to meet some of my new blog readers, always glad to have extra page visits. It's getting me closer to google!!! Wooo Hooo..

Don't fear my friends, I will have more free evenings next week, so my stories will jump start on Monday / Tuesday.

Nothing will change, you will still be awarded with great news.

Let it go! Let Tiger Woods be!!

Tiger Woods has been the NEWS media's biggest prey. The media has been on him like a knot on friggin log. Its rediculous how up on him they have been. I wish they would let him go and leave him be. His personal life is his personal life. Not ours. He is a pro golfer, not a mentor. I personally think the News Media just disrespected themselves by harrassing this man.

On the Radio this morning (Sirius Satelite Ch 50-The Heat) The DJ, whoever it was, said,

"I spoke with Tiger Woods personally and he told me to dedicate
THIS song to all my ladies I had an affair with".

Really? YOU spoke with Tiger, even when he wouldn't speak to the press. Yeah, ok!!

Any way.

I'm done ranting now.

Purple Monkeys Envade

So, lets start this day off. . .

8am - Alarm goes off - I press snooze.

8:10am-Alarm goes off- change alarm to 9:am

9am-Alarm goes off- press snooze

9:10- Alarm goes off- I get up finally.

on the computer

10am-shower/ready for work

11am-I'm at work-ready to roll. The day-evening-night went well.

8pm-I'm off work. With many possible ideas of what I may do running through my head.

8:15pm-I arrive at home to find myself locked out. I don't have house keys.
convienently enough my phone is dead. I can't call mom. I go to my cousin house who has a spare key. She isn't home. Guess what? She is out with my mom.

The fustration is growing rapidly.

I find mom at a fundraiser party. Home at 9pm.

I figure its to late to go anywhere now. Grr.

10pm- Barry is hungry- Barry makes Bowl of Cereal- milk taste sour. Grr

I run to town. I am battling between Bo Jangles, and Mexican food. I get to the intersection. To the left is Bo Jangles, the right is Mexican. Tough decision, the moment is crucial. What will I do.

Easy-take a right, because to the left is a train. :(

I'm home now, finished my late night dinner.

Is the world against me tonight?

Few pics from Uptown Roxboro,NC

Myself, along side my sidekick, LA, went cruising into Roxboro, NC. I like that place. We went to find a book, with no success. I was fighting with decisions on wether to eat at Taco Bell or Vesuvios. I wrestled back and forth with the two until we both decided we can get Taco Bell anywhere.
We ate at
Vesuvios, located by the Person County Court House in Uptown Roxboro. It was great. LA had the Hot Ham n Cheese Sub, I had he Pepperoni Roll. The bread was absolutely amazing. The fries were cooked to a perfectious crisp. Above all the sweet tea was fabulous.

Great job to the cooks, waitress, and everyone else at Vesuvios!!

Then the first photo of our walking tour around Uptown Roxboro.

I just love the old mail box.

I'm not sure what goes on inside this building, but I loved the architectural design and art work that took place here.

Aparently a night club is Roxboro. I didn't see that coming. I love the picture I took, the angle, lines, color, everything. Even that random guy.

We visited the Kirby Theater and Art Studio. adjacent to the left. Fascinating art work. (Picture Courtesy of LeighAnn Buch)

Here is another pic. This is of a Pharmacy Drug Store. I loved the way this town has strived to incorporate as much originality as possible. I have always been a fan of Roxboro,NC. (Picture Courtesy of LeighAnn Bush)

(Photo Courtesy by LeighAnn Bush) She did an awesome job capturing this scene.

What is going on outside?

As I left town, driving home, this large black cloud followed. The faster I went, the more it seemed to keep up. Ah. I stop in the median to take a picture, and share with you guys.

As I look ahead . . I see this.

As I look to my left, . . I see . .

Makes for an interesting night, huh?

This is the reason for living. . .

So today my mother, my brother, and myself went out shopping. To kick off the day we went to Cici's Pizza. It was packed like crazy. At the table across from us was a guy about my age or a little younger 18 - 19 ish. He was surrounded by loud obnoxious chaps. I could only help but notice how tortured he looked as he tried to ignore them by reading. I tell mom, "I feel so sorry for that kid" . On the way out to the car, he was in his parents van, and locked the doors and wouldn' let the kids in. The kids kept yelling, "Unlock the door, its cold out here." I laughed my tail off. I love revenge. Sweet revenge. Rock on you cool dude, you!!!

When Life Throws You Lemons. . .

. . . Make Lemonade.

The recent weather has been ferocious. The aggressive wind beating against the house, competing with cars as they go to-and-fro , causing power outages in some areas. This just sounds like an awful day, definitely not a day one could enjoy.

Wrong. Me and my friend, LA, took great advantage of the high winds and reconnected with our childhood years and flew kites at Edmund's Park. I/We had the best time of my life. You can buy Kites at Wal-Mart ranging from $1-$10. Cheap great entertainment.

I LOVE YOU, LA!!

Who let the dogs out?

Every week at Halifax Regional Hospital the patients get a very special visit from Sir Nick. Sir Nick is a Papillon. Papillons have been bred over the years to be compassionate and caring animals. The almost 4 year old Sir Nick has been a qualified Therapist since he was 12 months old.

Owner of Sir Nick, Vickie Ganey says, "Every week patients can make appointments for Sir Nick to make his visits."
Sir Nick likes being the center of attention at HRH. He is stopped by workers, visitors and children in the halls and waiting rooms.

Ganey also stated that Sir Nick is very good at sensing emotions. "Sir Nick can sense when someone has allergies or doesn't like dogs, it's just a sense he feels and leaves them alone".
Sir Nick doesn't just visit patients, there's more.

He has recently completed his training with Federal Emergency Management Agency to be a certified Disaster Stress Relief Dog.

Ganey is the Co-founder of ATT search dogs (Air Scent, Tracking, and Trailing) in which Sir Nick will become certified in the Spring. Currently there are 5 other dogs in the group.
Ganey said she has also taken Sir Nick to South Boston Elementary one year for Reading Therapy.

"One day a week the kids would each get a book and read aloud to the dogs while they sit with them. This was proved that the kids showed a dramatic improvement within that year.

Ganey said she and Sir Nick have greatly enjoyed visiting the patients at Halifax Regional Hospital.

Picture!!

Something about this gets my attention. I can't quite figure out what it means to me.
Its almost like I feel it is saying, "Life on its own" or a quote from Beyonce's song-Single Ladies "...I'm doing my own little thing..."

Look at it though. These plants and other life, are growing on an old pillar, a pillar that once used to be the bridge we used to cross the Dan River. When the new bridge was built, those pillars were retired and never again used. It is kinda like, the pillar is still in use and never died. Why the pillars were not tore down is beyond me, but I love the scene here. Its amazing how its out there in the open with not support yet still living and continuing to grow. It also makes me think back to when I read about Oprah Winfrey's life story. Oprah started out as a girl in streets, poor as dirt, and now the wealthiest woman in the world. Oprah proved that even if have nothing, you can still be whatever you want.

This picture has so many meanings to me.

What does it mean to you?

New Job Position

Up until last week, I have been working at Hardee's in the morning, which I LOVED. When I took on the position at the Halifax Regional Hospital in November 09', I worked the evening shifts there and kept my mornings at Hardees. That worked fine for a while.

I have always heard, "If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life"

Very True!

I loved Hardee's because I was around people all day long, regular customers were a hoot, and I loved everyone I worked with.

I thought the Hospital would be a great place for me to go and work since I would be delivering food to patients room and interacting with them. It was everything I imagined. I enjoyed it very much. I would make corny jokes, like,
*knock knock, and instead of saying room service, i'd say, Domino's"

I applied and received the full time position as a cashier in the hospitals cafeteria. I have been training this week and working some longggg hours. I can only be thankful for having a job in which I love and obtain. I still crack up with my nurses, PA's, NP's, and Dr's.

I look forward to what this position will bring. I have quit Hardee's temporarily until I can work it back in my schedule. I can't leave it alone, I just love it soo much!

Thanks go out to all my customers for making my work experience a great one!

Thursday Nights Karaoke was a BLAST

My Thursday started around 6a.m. that morning, and worked til 1:30 pm. I went home and came back to work my second shift from 4pm to 8pm. Then after I got off it was time to Karaoke!!

Karaoke night was a blast, I have never seen such a crowd at applebees. By 9:30 or so, they had reached max capacity. I am hoping a different alternative will be arranged for next week. I had such a great time, and it looks everybody else did too!!

Karaoke is every Thursday night at Applebees in South Boston. Is sooo much fun! Come join.

Thats a wrap

not a chicken wrap, silly.

Last night (Tuesday) I got sick at work, and went home. I was sick all night. up chucking every hour of the night. Not getting any sleep, I was sore, I was restless, I was so ready to be well again.

I give all props to women. I don't know how they do it. When I get sick, im the biggest baby ever. I finally found my weakness, Yay. I hate it when you go to a job interview and they ask, "What would you say your biggest weakness is?" I always say nothing, because Barry is the man with a plan.

Anyway, women are sick for like 7 days, every 28 days. I couldn't bear to stand that. Then on top of that, women have babies, which brings along morning sickness. Then the pain of carring that thing around for 9 months, then the extra weeks followed by the baby need feeding every 2 hours. How do women do it? Can they write us men a "how to" book?

This morning, (Wednesday) I go to check on my sick goat, meanwhile I am still sick. She looked almost dead, but still hada faint breath. I called he vet, and rushed over. Chloe died in the car on the way to the vets office. I went inside, where I shed my tears in greif over my goat. Chloe was 4 yrs old, and was on her way to becoming an animal assisted therapist.

I finish up at the Halifax vets office, where they ran test I didnt approve and stuck charges to my account. Poofah.

I go to history class, where Mrs. Ward lightened the mood with her whityness personality.

I make it home, type my assignment for english and email it to my teacher. Help dad cut down a tree at the last minute so Granny can stay warm. Love ya Granny!

I go to sleep. Get in some NCIS, then went to town for some toast and lemonade.

Back home and spent the night on Facebook and watch the old movie "Big Trouble in Little China"

R.I.P. Chloe.

Awkward Silence in an Elevator

I work at the hospital delivering food. I've come to realize that the elevator can be the most awkward ime of the day. People you don't know, you stand all quiet, look at the numbers as they count down or up, wait for the ding, and as the awkward silence grows louder and louder, the door opens. I can finally breathe again.

So what can you do to break the silence? I have browsed the web and came up with some idea from Yahoo chat rooms and etc.

1- Say something random like "I want a duck" or "Why is palindrome not spelt the same way backwards?"
I'm
2- Compliment the persons clothing

3- suggest the person looks better in a different color.

4- say "I'm thinking of buying a speed boat, what color is best?

5-make fart noise with your mouth.

6-fart loud, a silent fart would just smell and give a more awkward feeling

7-Start laughing uncontrollably, roll around on the floor.

8- tell a joke

9- Ask "Do you hear that?" The others ask"Hear what?" You respond with "The awkward silence."

10- call the person a douche bag, then say you were practicing tourette syndrome, and twitch

11- Fish out your nail clipper and start clipping your nails!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday-Deborah!

Deborah is such a cool rockin' lady. I am going to dedicate a special blog post, just for her. Because - -I'm that cool - and so is she. Almost as cool as Rachel Ray, but we will save that for another day.

I tried to upload a video for you, but that didn't work. So a picture and a link to a YouTube video will have to suffice.
happy birthday Pictures, Images and Photos

So instead of me leaving you a comment on Facebook, I decided to go all out and make your day.

I hope you enjoyed this Deborah, because I made it just for you!!!

Dear Supporters of Haiti

To all you Americans who feel the need to jump up and donate to Haiti because they are in need. Take a look around you and you will see that your very own neighbor needs help. It frustrates me to no end to see how everyone is so energized to help Haiti, but noone in America. California has earthquakes, when are we donate to that? Florida gets slammed with hurricanes, when are we gonna donate to them? Mid-west gets tornado and sand storms, when are we gonna donate to that?

Its time America prioritize and get it together.

Signed,

Barry Tuck

Dinis Bros Pizza!

I totally recommend Dinis Bros Pizza. These guys really now how to cook Italain food. Maybe they are Italian, maybe they aren't. It doesn't matter, its good stuff.

Here my Chirrin'

I am the rightful owner of three very love able Capra hircus. Haha-figure that out.

Flossy is the white goat. She is a rescue project. When I was at the farm purchasing my other goats, the owners were telling me how a pain in the tail she was and that they were going to sell her as food. I couldn't take it. I bought her right then and there. I have had her for a year, and only touched her probably three times.

Flossy is very shy and distant. I assume she was abused in her younger days. This goat is special. She can FLY. I'm not kidding. She jumps every fence I've ever put her in.

The brown goat in the middle is Chloe. Chloe is eventually going to be an animal assisted therapist.

Lute, the brown goat on the far right, may also be a therapist later on. They have the best personalities ever.

I love all my goats.

Snowman Hunting *with freaquent updates

I've been stuck in town for 4 days. This snow has really put a hault to my travels. Since I was finally able to get my car moving today, I decided to go "Snowman Hunting".

Snowman hunting consisted of shooting snowmen with my camera! Hehe. Here are the few I found within 30 minutes.

World biggest Epic Fail. What? Did they just get lazy and say the
heck with it, I'm throwing a ball on there for the head?

Congrats to
Jimmy Smith and Megan Fitch

Looks to me that the newly weds didn't get dressed after the honey moon. :)

This a snow-WOMAN. Take note at the physical features. Tammy says she builds them and takes photos so she can harass her friend who doesn't like snow.

Mallory brings to us her "French Snowman" named PePe. If he turns yellow, we all know why.

Lara's snowman, or the lack there of.

I love this snowman. Courtesy of Lisa Caudle. To me the snowman loks to be doing the gangsta lean. I just mentally picture a dialog going on.
